Florida Liver Disease Patients Eligible For Social Security Benefits

Since the liver is the largest solid organ, doctors often refer to it as the body’s chemical factory.   4. Hepatorenal Syndrome
  5. Hepatopulmonary Syndrome, or
  6. Hepatic Encephalopathy

If You Do Not Meet the Criteria Above

For one medical reason or another, it may be that even though you don’t meet the required criteria listed above. However, even if you don’t meet the criteria, if you are limited in your ability to work, return to your previous type of work, or are only able to work part-time; you may still be eligible to receive disability benefits.

Residual Functional Capacity

The SSA will determine what type of work, if any, that you are physically and mentally capable of. To strengthen your case, make sure to have your doctor include all of your limitations, and be as specific as possible.
