For Referring Attorneys
When one of your clients comes to you with a problem that requires the assistance of another attorney, you don’t want to steer them wrong. After all, your reputation is on the line – and there is nobody who remains more steadfastly aware of this sobering reality than we do. Attorneys regularly refer cases to us throughout South Florida for Workers’ Compensation matters in the Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County areas.
Competence and Fair Play
We highly value referrals, and we want to keep you happy. The best way we can keep you happy is by keeping your clients happy, so that they will come back to you. Moreover, we pride ourselves on loyalty — after all, if we expect that much from others, we can offer no less ourselves.
Your client is still your client, not ours, and that’s for life. We will send your client straight back to you after the matter you referred us to is concluded, In fact, if your client comes back to us with another claim, even ten years down the road, we will refer them back to you. In other words, we won’t steal your clients and we won’t steal the clients they refer. They will always come back to you.
The Lines of Communication Will Always be Open
In addition to loyalty, we pride ourselves in our communication. We realize that this isn’t the case with many law firms that accept referrals. Once they accept a referral, some of these firms seem to drop off the face of the earth.
Not us. If at any time you have questions about the progress of the case, or you require clarification about any matter whatsoever, feel free to contact us about it, and we will answer you within 24 hours. And by “communicating”, we don’t mean a hurried email dashed off in the midst of handling another matter — we will respond thoroughly and thoughtfully to your inquiry because you are a priority for us.
All Referrals Fees Are Promptly Paid
Naturally, you are entitled to co-counsel fees in accordance with the Florida Bar Rules. We pride ourselves on promptly paying all referral fees, so don’t worry — you won’t have to hunt us down. We appreciate your confidence in us, and we will not take you for granted.

Florida Workers’ Advocates (FWA) is an organization of civil justice attorneys representing injured workers in Florida. Member attorneys are dedicated to protecting the rights of injured workers. Attorney David Benenfeld became a member of this organization in 2007.
Attorney David Benenfeld is a member of the Florida Bar. He is also a member of the Florida Workers’ Compensation Division and Florida Trial Lawyers Practice Division.
