Should I Give The Insurance Company A Recorded Statement After The Florida Truck Accident I Was Injured In?

A: No. You should never give the insurance company a recorded statement unless you have spoken with a skilled personal injury attorney. Even though the insurance adjuster may be nice to you, they are trained to minimize your claim.

Insurance companies want you to give them a recorded statement as soon after your car accident as possible because they know that it will most likely hurt your case in the long run. For example, they call you one day after your accident and you explain that you sustained facial lacerations and that your head hurts. Then, a couple days go by and your knee and back start hurting more and you discover that you have other serious injuries that you didn’t explain to the adjuster. In this situation, you may have hurt your case as the adjuster previously recorded your statement in which you didn’t mention the other injuries. This is why it is important to NOT give a recorded statement.

An experienced South Florida personal injury lawyer may be able to help you come back from this situation. Dealing with insurance companies and adjusters can be complicated and tricky. You should download a FREE copy of my book, Secrets Exposed: 7 Deadly Mistakes That Can Destroy Your Auto Accident Case, which will help you avoid the things you shouldn’t discuss with the insurance company.
